Croatia, Finland, the Netherlands and Poland will make up UEFA’s elite-round play-offs for the next FIFA Futsal World Cup™ after finishing as the four best group runners-up.
The play-offs will take place in April, with two tickets to Uzbekistan 2024 on offer. The draw will be made on Friday 21 December.
Italy, an early futsal force, were the only nation to finish second in their section but miss out on the play-offs. A 4-0 loss at home to Spain condemned them to watching a second straight global finals on TV.
Netherlands seized silver at the first FIFA Futsal World Cup, appeared in its first four editions, but have missed its last five. Croatia and Poland have played in one edition of the tournament apiece, in 2000 and 1992 respectively, and Finland have never qualified.
