England: Mitoma torments Arsenal
Kaoru Mitoma was a constant menace as Brighton held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw in their English Premier League tie.
The midfielder played a key role as Brighton came from behind to hold the Gunners, who had been reduced to 10 men following Declan Rice’s sending off in the 49th minute.

The result left both teams on seven points, two adrift of pacesetters Manchester City and Liverpool going into the international break.

Spain: Kubo’s Sociedad held

Takefusa Kubo was on the field for the first 60 minutes as Real Sociedad had to be satisfied with a goalless draw against Getafe, leaving them on four points from three matches.
Japanese forward Takuma Asano played his part in Mallorca’s 1-0 defeat of Leganes, the side’s first win after two successive draws.

Italy: Suzuki sees red
Japanese custodian Zion Suzuki was sent off after a second yellow card as Parma fell 2-1 to Napoli in Serie A.
Islamic Republic of Iran’s Mehdi Taremi came on in the 79th minute for two-goal hero Marcus Thuram as Inter Milan cruised to a 4-0 win over Atalanta, which gave them the top spot on goal difference with three teams on seven points.

Germany: Kim rock solid for Bayern
Korea Republic’s Kim Min-jae was at his defensive best as Bayern Munich made it two Bundesliga wins out of two following their 2-0 defeat of Freiburg, who had Japan’s Ritsu Doan in their starting lineup at the Allianz Arena.
Japanese defender Kou Itakura played the full match as Borussia Monchengladbach defeated Bochum 2-0 for their first points of the season.
Shuto Machino’s Holstein Kiel were on the receiving end of a 2-0 defeat to Wolfsburg, leaving the Japanese striker’s side still in search of their first points of the season.
Japan’s Kaishu Sano and Korea Republic duo Lee Jae-sung and Hong Hyeon-seok all started in Mainz 05’s thrilling 3-3 draw with VfB Stuttgart, their second successive stalemate.

France: Ito scores in Reims’ win
Junya Ito drew his side level before Reims went on to beat Rennes 2-1 in their Ligue 1 tie.
Trailing to a Leo Ostigard goal, Japanese midfielder Ito equalised in the 41st minute with Oumar Diakite scoring the winner two minutes into the restart as Reims took their tally to four points from three matches.
Lee Kang-in, meanwhile, came on as 74th minute substitute as Paris St Germain made it three wins out of three following their 3-1 defeat of Lille in Ligue 1.
Takumi Minamino played the entire match as Monaco were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw with Lens, with the visitors equalising through Przemysław Frankowski’s penalty in the fourth minute of second half added time.
Mousa Tamari played for 63 minutes as Montpellier suffered a 3-1 reverse against Nantes, leaving them with just a point three matches into the season.

Scotland: Maeda, Furuhashi on the mark
Daizen Maeda scored the first and Kyogo Furuhashi the second as Celtic cruised 3-0 past Rangers in the Old Firm Derby.

The win kept the defending champions four points clear of Aberdeen at the top with Rangers a further point adrift in fourth place.
Australia’s Martin Boyle provided the assist for Hibernian’s 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock while compatriot Josh Nisbet was on the losing side as Ross County fell to a 1-0 defeat to Aberdeen.

Netherlands: Ogawa among the goals for NEC Nijmegen

Japanese forward Koki Ogawa netted the second as NEC Nijmegen defeated Fortuna Sittard 3-0 in their Eredivisie tie, moving up to sixth in the standings.
