England: Endo, Kamada make cameo appearances
Japan’s Wataru Endo came on for the final minutes as Liverpool fought back to hold Arsenal 2-2 in their English Premier League tie on Sunday.
Endo’s compatriot Kaoru Mitoma played a more prominent part in Brighton’s 2-2 draw with Wolves, with the point keeping his side very much in the mix for the European places.
Daichi Kamada also made a cameo appearance for Crystal Palace in their 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Australia’s Cam Burgess played the full match for Ipswich Town as they lost 4-3 to Brentford.
Spain: Kubo’s Sociedad fall
Takefusa Kubo came on as a second half substitute but the Japanese international could not prevent Real Sociedad from suffering a 2-0 defeat to Osasuna.

Islamic Republic of Iran’s Mehdi Taremi went on as Marcus Thuram’s replacement in Inter’s thrilling 4-4 draw with Juventus.
Japanese custodian Zion Suzuki was between the posts as Parma settled for a 1-1 draw with Empoli while rising Iraqi star Ali Jasim went on as 82nd minute substitute as Como 1907 fell 1-0 against Torino.
Germany: Kim’s Bayern bounce back in style
Kim Min-jae played his part in Bayern Munich’s 5-0 defeat of VfL Bochum, with the Korea Republic defender delivering yet another solid performance during his 78 minutes on the pitch.
Bayern stayed level with RB Leipzig, who defeated Freiburg 3-1. Japan’s Ritsu Doan opened the scoring for Freiburg but they were ultimately overwhelmed by Leipzig.
Korea Republic midfielder Jeong Woo-yeong featured for 65 minutes in Union Berlin’s 1-1 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt while Australian international Jackson Irvine played the full game for St Pauli as they played out a scoreless draw with VfL Wolfsburg to secure their second draw of the season.
Japan’s Kaishu Sano and Lee Jae-sung of Korea Republic featured in Mainz 05’s 1-1 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach, who had Kou Itakura in their starting lineup.
France: Lee plays part as PSG go top
Lee Kang-in played 78 minutes as Paris Saint Germain cruised 3-0 past Marseille to open a three-point lead over AS Monaco at the top of the standings.
Takumi Minamino played 75 minutes in Monaco’s 2-1 loss against Nice while Junya Ito’s Reims fell 2-1 to Brest.
Netherlands: Hwang’s Feyenoord win
Hwang In-beom played the entire match as Feyenoord defeated FC Utrecht 2-0.
Shunsuke Mito came on as a 78th minute substitute in Sparta Rotterdam’s 2-0 defeat to SC Heerenveen while Koki Ogawa’s NEC Nijmegen lost 1-0 to Almere City FC.
Scotland: Japanese trio shine for Celtic
Japanese trio Kyogo Furuhashi, Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate all started in the Celtic’s 3-0 win over Motherwell, who had Australian Apostolos Stamatelopoulos in their ranks.
Kye Rowles played a full game while Cameron Devlin came off in the 73rd minute for Heart of Midlothian against Hibernian, who had fellow Australians Lewis Miller and Martin Boyle in their starting lineup with the match ending 1-1.
