The first round of League A of the UEFA Nations League has now concluded.

For the first time since the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™, from which Spain emerged triumphant, the likes of France, England, Norway, Germany and La Roja themselves all made their return to international competition in the inaugural UEFA Women’s Nations League.

This new competition will provide a path for two UEFA representatives to qualify for the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament at Paris 2024, which will run from 25 July to 10 August 2024.

The four teams that finish top of their sections in League A will compete in the Finals phase next February, when the winners of the two semi-finals will stamp their tickets for Paris 2024. In the event that France, who have already qualified as hosts, manage to reach the final, the winners of the third-place play-off will clinch a spot at the Olympics.

With the first two rounds of fixtures now completed, FIFA runs the rule over the teams making the early running in League A.
