The East Asian side slowly began to exert their influence with Tsang Lai Mae Halasan testing Zhenishbek with a lob meant for Yiu Hei Man at the far post, but the flight of the ball was too high for the Hong Kong No 4.

Kyrgyz Republic, looking for their first win, could not get out of the pressure cooker as Nursuluu Murzakulova was in the right place at the right time to make a goal line clearance to deny Cheung Wai Ki from the left flank, while Zhenishbek showed quick reflexes to deny Wong So Han.
