Australia suffered a 2-1 defeat to Canada in their final friendly ahead of the Paris Olympic Games in Marbella, Spain on Saturday.

Canada, who will be defending their gold medal from the Tokyo Games, came from behind to clinch victory in the ‘B’ international.
Earning a last minute call up into the starting line-up for the first time, a 23rd minute goal from Sharn Freier was cancelled out just before half time by Nichelle Prince.
Both sides battled it out in the second half before a late Evelyne Viens strike proved to be the winner.

Following a heavy two weeks on the training pitch, the Matildas chose precaution with a number of key players sidelined as the team kept one eye focused on the opening Paris 2024 match against Germany July 25.
Australia, seeking to win a medal for the first time, will then face Zambia three days later and close out their Group B campaign against the United States on July 31.
