Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC will expect a different outcome when they host Madura United in the first leg of their AFC Challenge League™ 2024/25 semi-final on Thursday. The sides met in the group stage, with Indonesia's Madura edging the tie 2-1.

Svay Rieng, who cruised 7-4 on aggregate past Myanmar’s Shan United in the quarter-finals, will consider themselves the favourites with the backing of their fans.
They will head into the tie on a high after a 2-0 win over Phnom Penh Crown FC over the weekend left them well placed to defend their Cambodian Premier League title.

Madura will also be highly motivated after securing a huge result in Indonesia’s Liga 1 on Sunday, with the 1-0 win against Persija Jakarta pulling them three points clear of the relegation zone.
The Indonesian side, who defeated Chinese Taipei’s Tainan City FC 3-0 on a aggregate in the quarter-finals, will need to reproduce Sunday’s form to stop Svay Rieng.
