The FIFA U-17 World Cup™ is usually held every two years, but a COIVD-enforced cancellation of the event in 2021 means that the most recent edition of the tournament came in 2019, when Brazil triumphed on home soil to win a fourth U-17 crown.

This longer-than-usual gap has inevitably allowed the most promising stars of the 2019 edition a chance to shine in senior football, with a host of players becoming household names in the time since.
